Cookie and privacy policy
What we measure
trikalakorinthias.gr uses Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited to count how many visitors come, which pages they read and where they arrived from. These figures help us improve the content.
Which cookies
With your consent, Google Analytics stores the cookies _ga and _ga_SZ86BY5DQF, which distinguish your visits and are kept for up to two years. Without consent Google Analytics is not loaded at all, so no analytics cookie is stored and no analytics data is sent to Google. Your choice is kept in your browser for twelve months, so that we do not ask you on every page.
Legal basis
For analytics the legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google may process data outside the European Union, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Chat assistant
The assistant on every page answers questions about Trikala Korinthias. Nothing is sent anywhere until you send a message. When you do, the text of your message and up to six earlier messages of the same conversation are sent to Google (Gemini API), which writes the answer. Please do not type personal data into the chat. trikalakorinthias.gr does not store the text of your messages. To prevent abuse we keep only a hashed (SHA-256) form of your IP address together with the times of your recent requests, in a small file on our server, and a daily request counter that holds no personal data.
Weather
The weather on the home page and on the Weather page is loaded from Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com). Your browser makes this request when the page opens, so Open-Meteo receives your IP address and the usual technical details of the browser, as with any request on the internet. We send it no other information about you.
Map and external links
The Map page embeds a map from OpenStreetMap (www.openstreetmap.org), loaded as you scroll toward it. OpenStreetMap receives your IP address and the technical details of your browser. Links to Google Maps and to the websites of businesses open those sites only if you click them, and their own policies apply there.
The consent choice above covers analytics only: the weather and map requests described here are made without it.
Server logs
Like any website, our web server keeps the usual technical access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for operation and security.
How to change your choice
At any time, from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page or from here: . If you withdraw your consent, the _ga cookies are deleted.
