Via the Olympia Odos motorway (Athens–Patras), exit at Xylokastro and then 24 km to the villages. About 1 hour 40 minutes from Athens.
By suburban rail
Suburban rail to Kiato and a connection to Xylokastro. From there you need a taxi to reach Trikala (or, on Wednesdays only, the KTEL bus). Getting around
By KTEL bus
From the Kifisos terminal, buses almost every hour and a journey of about two hours to Xylokastro. To Trikala itself the KTEL bus runs on Wednesdays only (Xylokastro 06:15 and 13:15, return 07:10 and 14:10; to confirm, call the Kiato KTEL agency on 27420 22243). On other days the last leg is by taxi.
